SUMMARY
Performs various duties involved with Quality Assurance. Performs various clerical duties concerning production and quality records.
DUTIES
- Inspects all finished product to assure proper quality level.
- Makes final disposition of suspect/nonconforming material.
- Performs calibrations and maintains proper records of quality control instrumentation.
- Checks daily production schedule with General Stock for available material. Informs Scheduler and Production Lead of available stock.
- Reviews production and quality assurance paperwork for accuracy. Maintains proper files for all paperwork.
- Prints stock allocation and nonconforming reports, compiles data from reports to be used to calculate Cost of Quality.
- Ability to process all returned material.
- Performs capability studies on drawing machines.
- Trains new personnel in areas of quality assurance in conjunction with work instructions.
- Assisting in the development and exercise of approved work instructions designed for this position.
- Obtaining a firm working knowledge of TSW’s ISO quality policy manuals.
- Performs root cause analysis using corrective action system.
- Initiates and helps close Emergency Material Discrepancies (EMD’s).
- Able to initiate mill claims.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- 2 to 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Experience operating fork truck
- Experience using measuring equipment
- ASQ certifications a plus
