SUMMARY
The Operations Team Leader is responsible for the effective and efficient execution of manufacturing activities (maintenance, inventory control, receiving, shipping, production and safety) for the mill on the designated shift. Promotes continuous improvement in all areas.
DUTIES
- Responsible for making safety a #1 priority
- Responsible for upholding the policies, practices, procedures and ethics as set forth by the Executive Management of Taubensee Steel & Wire Co.
- Responsible for developing the team and creating the appropriate team based culture.Responsible for maintaining a thorough knowledge of all machine capabilities
- Coordinates daily execution of mill schedule
- Coordinates Quality Assurance to ensure all quality requirements, documentation and testing procedures are meeting TSW standards
- Responsible for oversight of refresher and new hire training
- Coordinates with People Wellness regarding positive discipline, attendance and timekeeping
- Coordinates Maintenance repairs
- Responsible for submitting all required reports as dictated by Manufacturing Manager
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Associates Degree preferred, high school diploma required
- Physical ability to stand/walk the majority of the day
- Supervisory experience in a manufacturing, maintenance and/or engineering setting
- Strong mechanical knowledge a plus
- Proven ability to display leadership, self-confidence, motivation, decisiveness, flexibility, and exceptional communication and organizational skills
- Logical, organized approach enabling the entire day-to-day operation to run smoothly
- A genuinely honest, trustworthy, dedicated and loyal employee
- Computer aptitude
- A problem-solver.
