COVID-19 (Coronavirus) updates

We're here to serve you

As the situation around COVID-19 (Coronavirus) has developed, Taubensee Steel & Wire Company is taking all necessary precautions to keep our employees, customers, and our community safe and healthy. This is our top priority.

TSW is following guidance from the Center for Disease Control (CDC), the Department of Public Health, OSHA, and our legal team, to set forth our own health and safety guidelines internally to maintain a safe environment. We assure you that we are doing everything in our power to provide you with the service and support you expect from TSW.

Taubensee Steel & Wire Company is an essential business

On Friday, March 20, 2020, Illinois Governor, J.B. Pritzker ordered all residents of the state of Illinois to “stay at home.” On Tuesday, March 31st the Governor extended the order to April 30, 2020.

Additionally, on Wednesday, March 25, 2020, Kentucky Governor Beshear issued a "healthy-at-home" order, similar to the content of Illinois' order. Both of these orders identified "steel and steel products" as "essential."

Due to the critical nature of our steel products and our customer’s products in keeping our country safe and healthy, Taubensee Steel & Wire is considered an essential business under these orders. As a result, all of our manufacturing operations will continue to operate while following all advised health and safety guidelines and required social distancing. This includes our Wheeling, IL, Bridgeview, IL, and Henderson, KY plants.

We will still manufacture your product to support you during this time! Our non-manufacturing employees are all successfully working from home with no lapse in communication. Please contact us through your usual everyday methods of contact. We are ready for your orders!

If your business is affected:

We ask that if you have been affected by a shutdown that you communicate the impact to your orders with us as soon as possible so we can adjust production schedules and raw material purchases appropriately.
